The back story... I started this site back in January '03. It originally had reviews, news and commentary. A lot of stuff happened, a lot of stuff didn't happen. I took a few months away from it and honestly woke up one night and knew I had to start it back up again. So, I'm focusing more on the interviews. Also keeping the band links and the message board and scrapping the reviews and commentary. And sorry for not bringing back show listings, but feel free to plug your shows on the message board. I highly recommended (for promoting your show and for finding out what shows are coming up) checking out the events section on thehoneycomb.com I've been around the scene for thirteen/fourteen years now (geez). I'm doing this site because I love the South Florida scene. I don't get paid, heck, I don't even get cool promo CDs. I'm just doing it in my free time and purely out of love for good music. Technical stuff... I do not know much about computers and have no business running a website. I'm trying to keep this very low tech and simple, but, it will probably never load 100% perfectly on everyone's computer. I recommend Internet Explorer to best view this site. Interviews... South Florida bands-if you are interested in being considered for an interview, email me, but first, keep reading, please. I'm going to be picky when it comes to interviews. I want to interview local bands that I would actually pay money to see. The bands interviewed on this site are talented. They were not interviewed so I could meet some sort of deadline or just for the sake of having a new interview. Also, if you are in a band and would like to be considered for an interview, please keep in mind that I already have a few bands lined up, so it may be a few months before I have an open spot (see below). New interviews will be posted every two weeks (give or take). A schedule as to when a new interview will be on the site: WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT BOOKING INTERVIEWS. Promote Mixed76? Well, sure!! We'd love it if you'd put a link for us on your site.
